Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the compartment cover at the front of the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Front) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
In order to prevent possible personal injury, release the air pressure from the air tank before disconnecting any components of the air system.

Release the air pressure from the air tank.
Disconnect hose assembly (4) .
Disconnect hose assembly (6) .
Remove elbow (5) and elbow (7) .
Remove two bolts (1) and two washers (2) .Note: These bolts are located on the left side of the cover for the steering column.
Remove air control valve (3) of the secondary brake.Installation Procedure

Install air control valve (3) of the secondary brake.
Install two washers (2) and two bolts (1) .Note: These bolts are located on the left side of the cover for the steering column.Note: During installation, tighten two bolts (1) to a torque of 47 9 N m (34.7 6.6 lb ft).
Install elbow (5) and elbow (7) .Note: When elbow (5) and elbow (7) are installed, apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the external threads.
Connect hose assembly (6) .
Connect hose assembly (4) .
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Starting with an External Air Supply" in order to refill the air tank.End By: Install the compartment cover at the front of the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Front) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
