CR/SNR Radio
A data radio is used to receive data from one of the following types of base stations:
GPS
GNSSA data radio is required by the system to function properly. Caterpillar does not provide data radios and does not deliver the machine with a data radio. A radio from Trimble is recommended such as the CR/SNR Series radio. Models may vary as technology changes. Consult a Trimble or SITECH dealer for compatible radios.

(22) 8-pin connectorThe CR/SNR Series radios are available in the following bands: 450 MHz and 900 MHz. These products share a common housing and electrical interface to simplify the machine installation and integration.The 450 MHz and 900 MHz band radios are used to receive GNSS data in Compact Measurement Record (CMR) format. This data is received from a reference receiver. The data is transmitted to one or more roving receivers for precise machine positioning. These radios can also communicate 2-way data between an office computer and the machine.These radios are offered in the following configurations:Single Band Radio - 900 MHzDual Band Radios - 900/2400 MHz 450/2400 MHzThe CR/SNR Series radio has antenna connections on the top, an electrical connector on the bottom, and an LED on the front. Refer to Table 4 for the LED states.

Illustration 15 g06092400The angle sensor (23) part number 373-6538 provides pitch and roll information to the Cat Grade Control system. The angle sensor is located under the back frame of the machine.The angle sensor (23) is a highly accurate sensor that can measure up to +/- 45 degree slopes. The angle sensor may also be called an inclination sensor or inertial measuring unit (IMU)The angle sensor (23) is mounted behind the bowl with the connector facing the right side of the machine.
