Open the left-hand rotor belt access door (1) for the rotor drive belt and install the rod to lock the door in the opened position.
Inspect the belt (2) for the rotor for breaks. Examine the belt for burned spots. Inspect the belt for the rotor for separation from the tie band and excessive wear. Check the tie bands for fraying, holes, or blisters.
Look for residue from the belt at the bottom of the belt guard. Replace the belt if the belt shows signs of slipping or excessive wear.
If the rotor drive belt is replaced, the rotor drive brakes must be checked.
