START BY:a. remove positioner kickout group1. Stop the machine with the bucket flat on the ground.
To prevent possible injury, release the pressure in the hydraulic system before any lines or hoses are disconnected.
2. Loosen the nut at the cylinder end of tube assembly (2).3. Remove four bolts (4). Disconnect hose assembly (5) and tube assembly (2) from the tilt cylinder.4. Remove two bolts (3), and disconnect guard (1) from the tilt cylinder. 5. Loosen the nut at the cylinder end of tube assembly (6), and disconnect it from the cylinder. 6. Remove bolt (7), the washer and spacer that hold pin (9). 7. Fasten a hoist to tilt cylinder (8). The weight of the tilt cylinder is 100 kg (220 lb.).8. Use tooling (A) to remove pin (9) that connects the tilt cylinder to the tilt lever. 9. Remove grease fitting (11) from cylinder pin (10).10. Remove bolt (12), the washer and spacer that hold pin (10). 11. Use tooling (B) to remove pin (10) that connects the tilt cylinder to the loader frame.12. Remove tilt cylinder (9) from the machine.13. Put 5P960 Multipurpose Grease in all of the pin bores.
Do not damage the seals when the pins are installed.
14. Install the tilt cylinder in the reverse order of removal.15. Check the oil level in the hydraulic tank. See the Maintenance Guide.
