Release the pressure from the transmission oil tank before any lines are disconnected from the transmission oil pump.
2. Drain the oil from the transmission oil tank until the level is below the oil return tube assembly on the side of the tank. 3. Disconnect tube assembly (1) from the scavenge part of the pump.4. Disconnect return tube assembly (2) from the pump and tank. Remove the tube assembly.5. Remove supply tube assembly (3). 6. Fasten a hoist to transmission oil pump (4). Remove the bolts that hold the pump to the housing for the torque converter. Remove the pump. Weight of the pump is 59 lb. (27 kg).Install Transmission Oil Pump
1. Fasten a hoist to transmission oil pump (1) and put it in position in the housing for the torque converter. Install the bolts that hold it. 2. Connect tube assembly (4) to the pump.3. Install return tube assembly (3).4. Install supply tube assembly (2).5. Fill the transmission oil tank with oil to the correct level. See Lubrication and Maintenance Guide.6.
