Remove Transmission Charging Pump
START BY:a. remove engine side guards and doors (lower right panel assembly only) *b. remove hoods (front panel assembly only) * 1. Remove bolt (1) that holds the governor control cable to the lever.2. Remove bolts (3). Pull bracket assembly (2) and the cable clear of the engine. 3. Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and (6) from the pump.4. Disconnect tube assembly (8).5. Remove two bolts (5) that hold the pump to the adapter. 1. Put transmission charging pump (1) in position on the adapter. Install the bolts that hold it.2. Connect tube assembly (2) and the hose assemblies to the pump. 3. Put cable and bracket assembly (4) in position on the governor. Install the bolts that hold it.4. START BY:a. remove transmission charging pump 1. Remove elbow (1) from the pump. Remove the O-ring seal from the elbow. 2. Remove bolts (2). Remove manifold assembly (3). 3. Remove O-ring seal (4) from the manifold assembly.4. Remove bearings (5). 5. Remove gear assemblies (6) from the body assembly. 6. Remove body assembly (7). Remove the O-ring seal from the cover assembly. 7. Remove bearings (8) from the cover assembly. 8. Remove O-ring seal (9). Remove lip seal (10) from the cover assembly.Assemble Transmission Charging Pump
1. Make sure all the parts of the pump are clean and free of dirt and foreign material. 2. Use tooling (A) to install the lip seal in the cover as shown. Put a small amount of clean SAE 30 oil on the lip of the seal. Install the O-ring seal. 3. Use tooling (A) to install bearings (1) in the cover. 4. Install the bearings to a depth of 1.57 mm (.062 in.) below the machined surface of the cover. Make sure joints (X) of the bearings are 30° 15° from a centerline through the bearing bores as shown. The bore in the bearings (new) must be 31.786 .008 mm (1.2514 .0003 in.). 5.
