Remove two bolts (1) and two washers (2) in order to enable removal of existing handhold (3). Discard handhold (3). Refer to Illustration 1.
Remove two bolts (4) and two washers (5) in order to enable removal of cover assembly (6). Refer to Illustration 1.

(6) Cover assembly (A) 40 mm (1.57 inch) (B) 204 mm (8.03 inch) (C) 90 mm (3.54 inch) (D) Remove the area that is marked.
Modify cover assembly (6). Refer to Illustration 2.

(7) New holes for the handhold (8) 9EP9373 Tapping Block (E) 341 mm (13.43 inch) (F) 40 mm (1.57 inch) (G) 59 mm (2.33 inch)Note: Preheat the area that will be welded.
Weld 9EP9373 Tapping Block (8) in position. Refer to Illustration 3.

Install 9EP9370 Handhold Assembly (11) in position by using the following items: 5S-7379 Bolts (12) and 8T-4896 Hard Washers (13) .
Drill 2 holes 8 mm (0.3 inch) in diameter. Use flange end (10) as a template. Tap the holes to 3/8 inch UNC.
Install 6J-0488 Screws (9) .
Install cover assembly (6) that was previously removed in Step 2.
