The control module can manually transfer the load to the generator, or the control module can automatically transfer the load to the generator. The control module monitors the engine, indicating the operational status and the fault conditions. When the engine shuts down, the first fault condition of an engine failure is shown by a flashing indicator on the front panel. All other subsequent faults are shown by a steady indicator on the front panel. Exact failure mode information is indicated by the display on the front panel.The module contains a 32-bit microprocessor. The microprocessor incorporates a broad range of standard features.

The module has extensive range output functions that utilize the built-in relay outputs. Expansion of relays is available.The customer can alter the selective operational sequences. The customer can also alter the timers and the alarm trips. Alterations to the system are made by using the P810 interface. Refer to the "P810 For Windows" software manual.A password blocks access to the critical operational sequences and timers that should only be used by qualified engineers. A limited number of selections are protected by another password in order to allow the operator to make changes.The control module is contained in a hi-impact plastic housing for mounting on the front panel. Connections are made to the control panel by locking connectors.The control panel is controlled by keys that are mounted on the front of the module. Each key has a different function: STOP/RESET, MANUAL, START, AUTO and ALARM MUTE. For normal operation, the keys are the only controls which need to be operated. The small keys are used in order to access further information. The information includes the instruments of the engine. Refer to Systems Operation, "Control Module" for more information on the small keys.
