The premature failure is caused by low oil level, lip seal and bearing damage, overheated brake discs, and severe wear. Over-greasing the debris barrier compartments using the grease fittings (1) can force grease into the main sump, also reducing the life of the 375-2732 Parking Brake Gp .Solution
The current Operator & Maintenance Manual does not have a recommended oil change interval for the 375-2732 Parking Brake Gp sump. The supplier recommends an oil change interval of 1000 hours. The supplier also recommends adding grease (approximately 13 ml or 15 pumps from a manual grease gun) to the debris barrier compartments using the grease fittings (1) in the 375-2732 Parking Brake Gp. The Operator and Maintenance Manual will be updated to reflect this change to the parking brake maintenance interval.
