Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Always wear protective gloves when handling parts that have been heated.
Use an oven and heat ring gear (2) to a maximum temperature of 150 °C (302 °F). Install the ring gear.

Position the ring gear (4) on flywheel (2) .

Check the condition of the dowels (not shown). If the dowels are damaged, use new parts for replacement.
Install Tool (A), a strap, and a suitable lifting device onto flywheel (2) .
Install flywheel (2). The weight of the flywheel is 50 kg (110 lb).Note: Dowel pin hole (3) is slightly offset in order to ensure correct installation.
Install six bolts (1) in order to secure flywheel (2) onto the crankshaft. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 83 5 N m (61 4 lb ft).
Remove Tool (A) .
Check the flywheel runout. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Flywheel - Inspect" for more information on flywheel runout.
