Use the arrow keys (8) in order to Select "Yes" for "Light Bar".

The "Machine Settings - Finished" screen appears.

Press the "Finish" soft key or press the "OK" key (10) .The "Machine Settings" dialog will reappear. Refer to Illustration 41.
Review the selections. Press the "OK" key (10) in order to save the settings.
Press the Escape Key (4) in order to exit the "Setup Menu - Installation" dialog. The changes take effect immediately.Configure The Units
Note: Caterpillar recommends setting the distance Units as Metric in order to perform machine measure up.The "Units" menu has five dialogs which allow you to select the units to show distance, speed, grade, cross slope, and station. In each dialog the current setting is highlighted.Perform the following steps in order to set the units.

Start the display in service mode. Press and hold down the "OK" key (10) as the power key (6) is pressed.Make sure that the "OK" key (10) is held down until the dsplay shows the start-up screen.
Press the menu key (11) .
From the "Setup Menu - Configuration" dialog, press the soft key that is located beside the "Installation" soft key Label in order to list the items under the "Setup Menu - Installation" dialog.

Use down arrow key or the up arrow key until "Units" is highlighted.
Press the "OK" key (10). By default, the "Distance Units" dialog is selected. The dialog in Illustration 44 appears.

Do the following as necessary from any of the "Units" dialogs.
Press the soft key that is located beside the "Distance" soft key Label in order to select the distance units.
Press the soft key that is located beside the "Speed" soft key Label in order to select the speed units.
Press the soft key that is located beside the "Grade" soft key Label in order to select the grade units.
Press the soft key that is located beside the "Cross Slope" soft key Label in order to select the cross slope units.
Press the soft key that is located beside the "Station Format" soft key Label in order to select the station format for a road design.
Press the Escape Key (4) in order to cancel and return to the "Setup Menu - Installation" dialog.
When any or all of the units have been set, press the "OK" key (10) in order to save the settings and return to the "Setup Menu - Installation" dialog. You can begin to enter details such as the machine dimensions, in those units immediately.
Press the Escape Key (4) in order to exit the "Setup Menu - Installation" dialog.The units are saved in the display settings file.Distance
Distance values appear on the screen in the following formats.
Meters - as "m" (default for all Display firmware files except for US English)
International feet - as "ft"
US survey feet - as "FT"
