Priming the Fuel System
1. Open the fuel system bleed valve. 2. Turn the priming pump plunger to the left to unlock. 3. Operate pump until the fuel flows free of bubbles from the bleed valve. 4. Close the bleed valve. 5. Turn the plunger to the right to lock.6. Start the engine and inspect for leaks.Engine Crankcase Breather
Clean the Breather
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin. Use all cleaning solutions with care.Pressure air can cause personal injury.When using pressure air for cleaning, wear a protective face shield, protective clothing and protective shoes.
1. Loosen the breather outlet hose clamp and remove the hose from the breather cover. 2. Loosen the breather retaining bolt and remove the breather.3. Inspect and replace the breather seal if damaged.4. Wash the breather in clean, nonflammable solvent.5. Use pressure air to dry. 6. Install the clean breather.7. Tighten the bolt to 14 3 N m (10 2 lb ft). 8. Install the hose to the breather and tighten the hose clamp.Hydraulic System
Change the Filter Element
Hot oil can cause burns. At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and under pressure.Remove the fill cap ONLY when the engine is stopped, and the cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure.Use all cleaning solutions with care.Pressure air can cause personal injury.When using pressure air for cleaning, wear a protective face shield, protective clothing and protective shoes.
1. Remove the oil filler cap slowly to relieve the tank pressure. 2. Loosen the retainer and remove the cover. 3. Remove and discard the used filter element. 4. Install the new filter element.5. Inspect the cover seal and replace if damaged. 6. Clean and install the filter cover.Tighten the bolt to 80 7 N m (60 5 lb ft). 7. Remove the oil filler strainer.8. Wash in clean, nonflammable solvent. 9. Install the strainer and filler cap.10. Start and run the engine at low idle for a few minutes.11. Stop the engine. 12. Maintain the oil between the ADD and FULL marks in the sight gauge.Fuel Tank Cap and Fill Screen
Clean the Cap and Screen
Use all cleaning solutions with care.
1. Open the fuel tank drain valve access cover. 2. Open the fuel tank drain valve. Allow the sediment and water to drain.3. Close the drain valve and the access cover. 4. Remove the fuel tank fill cap. 5. Disassemble the fuel cap.6. Wash it in clean, nonflammable solvent.7. Inspect and replace the tank cap seal if damaged.8. Put a light coat of oil on the components.9. Assemble the cap. 10. Remove the dipstick. 11. Remove the strainer.12. Wash the strainer in clean, nonflammable solvent.13. Install the strainer and the dipstick. 14. Install the fuel tank cap.Winch Filter and Magnetic Strainer
