Purpose of DocumentThis document is intended to provide the necessary information for the correct electronic application and installation of the CX31-P600 and CX35-P800 transmission control systems. This document is a resource for wiring, monitoring, calibrating, and configuring features for the customer and other installation procedures. This document provides a basic reference and a guide for the correct selection, installation, and the application of the electronic transmission control system.Scope of the DocumentThis document specifically relates to the electrical interface between the vehicle and the transmission. The document discusses the application, implementation, and installation of the transmission control. The document contains descriptions of the features, dimension drawings, and specifications of the transmission electronics and of closely related Caterpillar products. This document includes general information about the following: control system sensors, actuators, relays, shifter, service tools, calibration tools, interfaces, and theory and practice of the application and installation of the transmission control.This document does not include the operation and the description of the transmission and of the hydraulics.
