1 - - Do not use a torch in order to heat the ring gear.
Maximum permissible temperature of the ring gear for installation onto the flywheel is 320 °C (608 °F).
2 12 1N-3825 Bolt Before assembly, lubricate the threads with clean engine oil, molybdenum disulfide, or a graphite base lubricant.
Use the following procedure to tighten the bolts:
Tighten the bolts to 100 5 N m (75 4 lb ft) in numerical sequence as shown in Illustration 2.
Again, tighten the bolts to an additional turn of 180 5 degrees.
Replace all the bolts at the time of service.
