PIVOT BAR GP 7P9014 - Caterpillar

(1) Remove crankcase front guard (1). Remove bail assembly (2), push block (3) and the two spring groups. Remove support assembly (4) (approximate weight 1700 lb.) (770). (2) Install 1U1211 Pivot Support Assembly (5) with bolts (6); tighten to 775 25 lb. ft. (1055 34) torque. Make .75" (19.0) fillet welds along each side of the frame rails at location (A). Make .75" (19.0) J-groove welds along the top and bottom of the frame rails at location (B). Again tighten bolts (6) to 775 25 lb. ft. (1055 34) torque. Install guard assembly (1) with bolts (7). Use guard (1) as a guide for the location of holes (C). Use bumpers (8) as a guide for the location of holes (D). Use a .66" Ø (16.75 Ø) drill bit to make holes (C) and (D). Put threads in these holes with a 3/4" - 10 tap. Install the original hardware in holes (C) and (D). Install the spring groups, the push block and the bail assembly.
