Information:
Start by:a. Install steering frame lock pin.1. Lower the bucket to the ground. 2. Remove nut (1), washers and bolt (2) that hold the tilt link pin and collet assemblies. 3. Attach a suitable lifting strap and hoist to tilt link (3). Use tooling (A) to remove the collets from both sides of the link pin assembly. 4. Remove pin (4) from tilt link (3).
Typical Example5. Tie tilt link (3) to the main frame as shown and remove the hoist. 6. Attach suitable lifting chains and a hoist to the bucket. 7. Remove bolt (5) washers and nut from each lower bucket pin assembly. 8. Use tooling (A) to remove the outside collets.9. Repeat Step 8 for the opposite side of the bucket.10. Use tooling (A) to remove the inside collets.11. Repeat Step 10 for the opposite side of the bucket.12. Remove the pins and shims (if equipped) from both sides of the lower bucket assembly. 13. Remove the bucket from the machine. The weight of the bucket is approximately 3450 kg (7607 lb).Install Bucket
1. Be sure the pin bores in the bucket, lift arm assembly and tilt link are clean and free of dirt and debris. Apply 5P-0960 Lubricant in all pin bores before assembly. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the outside and inside diameters of all collets before assembly. 2. Put inside collet assemblies (1) in position in the bucket, on both sides of the bucket. 3. Attach suitable lifting chains and a hoist to the bucket and put in position on the lift arm assembly. Align the pin bores in the bucket with the pin bores in the lift arm assembly. The weight of the bucket is 3450 kg (7607 lb). 4. Install shims (2) as needed between the bucket and lift arm assemblies. 5. Install lower bucket pin assemblies (3) in the bucket and lift arm assemblies, on both sides of the bucket. 6. Install outside collet assemblies (4), on both sides of the bucket. 7. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compoundon the thread of the bolts that hold the collet assemblies to the pin assemblies. Install bolts (5), washers and nuts to the collet assemblies, on both sides of the bucket. The collet on one side must not extend farther than the other collet when the bolts are tight.8. Tighten the bolt and nut that hold the inside and outside collet assemblies to the lower bucket pin assemblies, on both side of the bucket as follows:a. Tighten bolt (5) and the nut evenly to a torque of 1800 200 N*m (1330 150 lb ft). After the bolt and nut are tight, hit outside collet assembly (4) with a heavy hammer until the torque on the bolt and nut is less than 950 N*m (700 lb ft).b. Tighten bolt (5) and the nut again to a torque of 1800 200 N*m (1330 150 lb ft). Hit outside collet assembly (4) again until the torque for the bolt and nut is less than
