Remove the right engine side guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Side Guard (Right) - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Attach Tooling (A) onto hydraulic tank (1). Attach an air supply hose onto Tooling (A). Apply 276 kPa (40 psi) to 414 kPa (60 psi) of air. This procedure will pull vacuum on the hydraulic system.

Disconnect hose assemblies (2), (4), and (5) .
Remove cooler bypass valve (3) .Installation Procedure

Position cooler bypass valve (3). Install cooler bypass valve (3) .
Connect hose assemblies (5), (4), and (2) .

Remove Tooling (A) from hydraulic tank (1) .End By: Install the right engine side guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Side Guard (Right) - Install ".
