If the warning flasher remains on after starting, check the engine oil pressure gauge.If the gauge is not in the safe operating (yellow or green range), stop the engine.
Keep the engine at low idle until operating temperature is reached.
Check the engine oil level at the beginning of each shift. Check the level with the engine running if it is not to be stopped. The oil level should be between the ADD and FULL marks on the ENGINE RUNNING side of the dipstick.Warm-Up:
1. For a faster warm-up, open the left rear access door. 2. Block the air flow through the radiator and oil cooler. 3. To help speed hydraulic oil warm-up, hold the bucket control in the close or tilt back position. Do this for short periods, not more than 10 seconds.4. This will allow the oil to reach relief pressure, which causes it to warm more rapidly.5. When idling the engine for warm-up, use the following rules:In temperatures of 0°C (32°F) or above, warm-up requires 15 minutes.In temperatures of 0° to -18°C (32° to 0°F), warm-up requires 30 minutes.In temperatures below -18°C (0°F) or if hydraulic functions are sluggish, more time may be required.
