Lubricate all seals with a thin covering of the lubricant that is being sealed. Install O-ring seal (18), D-ring seal (20), wear ring (19), wear ring (17), and wiper seal (16) into head (9).

Install head (9). Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of piston (10). Install piston (10) onto rod (8). Install Tooling (C) to piston (10). Attach Tooling (D) to Tooling (C). Tighten piston (10) to a torque of 200 to 220 N m (148 to 162 lb ft).Note: Do not loosen the piston to align. The locking setscrew must be relocated to a new hole.
Drill a 5.0 mm (0.20 inch) diameter hole, 21.0 1.0 mm (0.83 0.04 inch) deep. Tap the hole using M6 X 1.0-6H tap to a depth of 18.0 1.0 mm (0.71 0.04 inch).
Apply Tooling (E) to the threads of set screw (14). Install set screw (14). Tighten set screw (14) to a torque of 10 to 11 N m (89 to 97 lb in)

Lubricate all seals with a thin covering of the lubricant that is being sealed. Install seal (11) and wear rings (12) onto piston (10).

Install rod (8) along with head (9) into the bore of the cylinder.
Install bolts (7). Tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 40 to 44 N m (30 to 32 lb ft).

Typical Example
Install guard (4) and rotate guard (4) to 90 degree. Install bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 65 to 70 N m (48 to 52 lb ft).
Lower the temperature of bearings (3).
Place hydraulic cylinder (2) on a suitable press and install Tooling (B) to install bearings (3). Install bearings (3).
