The tolerance stack up of components in the HVAC system may result in voltage over the recommended limit on certain machines listed above. Voltage which exceeds the upper threshold causes fault code "2661-3" to activate.Solution

(2) 207-3814 Wire AsThe high voltage will not shutdown the HVAC system, but will cause the fault code "2661-3" to be displayed. To reduce the voltage to an acceptable level, and eliminate the fault code, perform the following procedure.
Remove the Temperature Control Panel.
Disconnect the 12-pin Deutsch connector from the back of the control panel.
Remove wire from location 11 of the 12-pin Deutsch connector. Leave the socket on the wire.
Use wire splice (1) to connect the freed wire to the single pin end of wire assembly (2). Refer to Illustration 1.
Insert two socket ends of wire assembly (2) into location 11 and 12 on the 12-pin Deutsch connector. Refer to Illustration 1.
Reconnect the 12-pin Deutsch connector to the back of the Control Panel.
Reinstall the Control Panel.
