New Filter Media
The filter media change is designed to provide a longer filter life for machines that are running in high debris environments. The filter media is not recommended for use where acceptable filter life is achieved with the standard filter. The filter is only available through the parts system at this point, but will be released into production for all models later this year.The filter media may be distinguished by pleats running longitudinally down the length of the filter as shown in Illustration 1.

Former Filter Media
The filter media of the former filter may be contrasted by the tight formation of honeycomb style of pleats in the prior filter design as shown in Illustration 2.

Mature Filter Media
Cleaning of this new filter media with a wand, as prescribed in the machine OMM’s, has proven to have minimal effect.As the filter matures, users may see media distortion to include waviness and small gaps along the media face as shown in Illustration 3. Media distortions are normal and do not impede the ability of the filter to protect the engine, and should not be considered a defect.Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers.
