Prepare machine:
Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Move away from other operating machines and away from personnel. Lower the implements to the ground. Stop the engine.
Permit only one operator on the machine. Keep all other personnel away from the machine or in sight of the operator.
Engage the parking brake. Put blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.

Install steering frame lock in the LOCKED position so the machine cannot articulate.
Depress the brake pedal repeatedly. This action will relieve any pressure that may be present in the brake hydraulic system.Note: If the machine is equipped with electro-hydraulic controls, turn the engine start switch key to the ON position before performing step 1.f and step 1.g. The engine start switch key must then be turned back to the OFF position before proceeding.
Move the implement control levers through the full range of travel. This action will relieve any pressure that may be present in the implement hydraulic system. Place the lift control lever in the HOLD position. Place the tilt control lever in the HOLD position.
Move the STIIC control several times in both directions in order to relieve the pressure in the steering system.

In order to relieve all of the pressure in the hydraulic oil tank, press and hold down the plunger (D) on breaker relief valve (C). The breaker relief valve is located on the top of the hydraulic oil tank.Note: If the machine is without with a hydraulic tank breaker relief valve, the hydraulic tank cap (E) may be removed slowly to relieve tank pressure.
Release system pressure:
Move the machine to a location that is smooth, level, and hard. The location should also be dry and free of debris. Stop the engine.
Permit only one operator on the machine. All other personnel should be kept away from the machine.
If the machine is equipped with a ride control system, move the ride control switch to the SERVICE position.

Position the bucket or work tool just above the ground at a slight downward angle. This position will ensure that the head end of the lift cylinders is pressurized.
Engage the parking brake.
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position.
When the engine has stopped, turn the engine start switch back to the ON position so the pilot oil can reach the main valve.
Move the implement lockout switch to the UNLOCKED position.
Move the lift control lever to the FLOAT position and the tilt control lever to the TILT BACK position at the same time. This action allows the bucket or the work tool to tilt back while the boom is lowered.The bottom of the bucket or the work tool should rest flat on the ground. The weight of the linkage should be supported by the ground.
