PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Group Number 1 Group Number 3
1. Remove the existing PL241 (444-9619). Do not remove the Antenna (443-8463) and Antenna cable (353-8773). These will be used on the new PL240B radio.
2. Install the PL240B (526-3054) per Special Instruction, UENR8292.
3. Work with the dealer PL Administrator to ensure the device is registered and communicating.
Ensure that the Machine Make, Machine Model, and Machine Serial Number are included in the Service Letter claim story. Failure to provide this information in the claim story will result in the claim getting rejected.
Group Number 2 Group Number 4
1. Remove the existing PL241 (444-9619) and the existing wiring harness (472-6075). Do not remove the Antenna (443-8463) and Antenna cable (353-8773). These will be used on the new PL641 radio.
2. Install the PL641 (440-2105) and wiring harness (467-9246) per Special Instruction, REHS9111.
3. Update the firmware on the PL641 to 2017A or newer (539-5807) using the Ethernet tool (425-6889). Refer to Special Instruction, REHS9111.
4. Work with the dealer PL Administrator to ensure the device is registered and communicating.
