1 - Stud Before assembly, apply red Loctite 271 to the threads.
2 8 5P-4255 Locking Bolt Use the following procedure in order to tighten the bolts that fasten the plate to the cylinder block.
Tighten to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
Again, tighten to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

3 - - During assembly, the rear face of the housing and the front face of the cylinder block must be free of oil, fuel, water, dirt, assembly compounds, and any other contaminants.
Apply ultra blue Loctite 587 in order to fill the space at the connecting joint of the front plate, oil pan gasket, and cylinder block.
After assembly, trim the gasket and flush the gasket with the face of the housing.
