A 1P-1863 Retaining Ring Pliers 1 Start By:
Remove the swivel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Swivel - Remove".
Thoroughly clean the outside of the swivel prior to disassembly.

Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.Spring force will be released when covers are removed.Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
Remove four bolts (1) and cover (2) from housing (5). Remove O-ring seal (3) from housing (5).
The rotor and housing of the rotary joint can be damaged when the parts are separated from each other. During removal of the rotor from the housing, be sure the press used to separate the components is axially aligned with the rotor.
Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (8) and spacer (4) from rotor (10). Use a suitable press to remove rotor (10) from housing (5).
Remove nine seals (9) from housing (5).
Remove O-ring seal (7) from housing (5).
Remove dust seal (6) from housing (5).
