Current pistonThe new piston in Illustration 1 is a direct replacement for the current piston in Illustration 2. The new pistons have the same weight and balance as the current pistons, and meet the same emissions standards. Cylinder packs that utilize current and new pistons can be used together in the same engine. Each cylinder pack with multiple designed pistons uses the same rings, rods, and pins as the previous piston. Refer to the following tables for the piston part numbers and the corresponding retainer clip for each cylinder pack.The new pistons are adaptable back to the first production of the engines in the above listed machines.
