While you travel, turn on the cushion-hitch.
Raise the bowl high enough so that the bowl passes over obstacles.
Travel at a safe operating speed.
Use the braking systems that are described in Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Braking Operation" in order to control the travel speed on downgrades.
Uphill grades require the same gear selection as similar downhill grades.
Turn to the downhill side when you are travelling across a hillside and the machine is starting to creep. Turn the machine to the downhill side when the machine is unstable. When you are loaded and you are travelling across a hillside, turning uphill should be done with caution.
Reduce the speed of the machine when making turns.
Loaded machines have the right of way.
Haul roads should be maintained. The haul road should be the width of three machines. Use a grader to maintain the haul roads. A truck for applying water to the road surface is beneficial in some conditions.
Avoid making deep ruts in the road. Do not travel in the same track. Travel next to the previous track in order to reduce ruts.
