Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to aftercooler (21). The weight of aftercooler (21) is approximately 32 kg (71 lb). Insert cardboard between the seal and aftercooler (21) in order to maintain the position of the seal. Position aftercooler (21). Remove the cardboard when aftercooler (21) is positioned.

Position bracket (24) and install bolt (25). Position bracket (22) and install bolt (23).

Install tube assembly (18). Install clip (19). Tighten clamp (20) .

Install clip (17) to tube assembly (18) .
Tighten clamp (16) .

Install tube assembly (3). Install clips (15) .

Connect hose (14) and tighten clamps (13) .

Connect hose (12) and tighten clamps (11) .
Install bracket (10) and install bolts (9) .

Tighten clamp (8) .
Install four bolts (5) .
Position harness assembly (7) and install bolts (6) .

Tighten clamp (4) .
Install bolt (2) to tube assembly (3) .
Connect hose (1) .
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities - Refill" for the capacity of the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (DEAC) - Change" or Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Extended Life Coolant - Change" for the proper filling procedure.End By:
Install the front bottom guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard - Install".
Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
