Information:
The engine may automatically change speeds when the machine is stationary and idling in cold ambient temperature for an extended time. This is to:
Maintain desired coolant temperature.
Maintain desired operation of engine systems.During extended idling in cold ambient conditions, engine speed may operate between 1000 rpm and 1600 rpm. Operation at 1600 rpm is minimal and will only last for up to 20 minutes. If the machine is being operated with transmission oil temperatures below 20° C (68° F) and the engine speed is greater than 1800 rpm, the engine speed will momentary decrease to 1800 rpm when the transmission oil reaches 20° C (68° F), and then the engine speed will return to the previous speed.Hydraulic System
The steering circuit temperature monitoring system, if equipped, will alert you when reduced steering performance is detected due to cold temperatures. Failure to respond to this warning could result in injury or death. Ensure that the hydraulic oil type installed in the machine is matched to the hydraulic oil type setting on the display.
Note: Do not shift the machine into gear until the steering system oil has been warmed and the cold oil event clears.Initial Machine Start
When the steering oil temperature is equal to or less than the temperature listed in table 1, you will receive a Level 2 warning. The display will display "Cold Steering Oil, Warm Oil".
Observe the hydraulic oil temperature on the display. If the display shows "Cold Steering Oil, Warm Oil", warm the hydraulic oil by following the instructions below:
Cycle all implement and steering controls to allow warm oil to circulate through all hydraulic cylinders and through all hydraulic lines.Note: If the hydraulic functions are sluggish, additional time may be required for warmup.

14° C (57° F) 0° C (32° F) −6° C (21° F) −16° C (3° F) Recommended warmup Procedure for the Hydraulic Oil
Make sure that the area is clear of personnel and equipment.
Place the transmission control switch in the NEUTRAL position, and engage the parking brake.
Run the engine for 5 minutes at LOW IDLE prior to performing the following procedure to protect the engine and the transmission.
Perform the following operations simultaneously at either HIGH IDLE or LOW IDLE. A faster warmup time will be achieved if the operations are performed with the engine at HIGH IDLE.
Stall the wheel lean cylinders in either direction by using the buttons that are on the left joystick.
Rotate the circle by twisting the right joystick left or right.
The right joystick can also be used to shift the moldboard sideways. Lean the joystick to the right to move the moldboard right. Lean the joystick to the left to move the moldboard left.Note: Use caution not to damage the tires with the blade.
Exercise all the machines implement cylinders and all the steering cylinders to circulate the warm oil into the remaining cylinders.Optional warmup Procedure for the Hydraulic Oil with Blade Float
Engage the parking brake.
Place the implement
