PLATE AS 1381733 - Caterpillar

1. Lift one side of the machine until the rollers are free of track. Install tooling (A) under carbody. 2. Loosen relief valve (1) one turn. If track does not loosen, move the track forward and backward.
Do not visually inspect relief valve to see if grease is coming out of the track adjuster. Look to see that the track has loosened.
3. Move the track until master pin (2) is in position between the idler and track carrier roller. 4. Install tooling (B) and remove the master pin, seal washers and spacer.5. Move the track forward and backward to clear the machine.Connection Of Tracks
1. Install tooling (A) in the track link and on the sprocket.2. Start the engine. Move the sprocket forward until the track is pulled up on the sprocket and the end of the track is forward of a vertical line through the center of the sprocket. Remove tooling (A). 3. Install tool (B) between the first bushing in the link and the sprocket.4. Move the sprocket forward. Use tool (B) to guide the track over the carrier rollers and idler. 5. Install tooling (F) and pin (1) from tooling (A) between links in end of track. 6. Move the track forward until the bottom link is below a horizontal line through the center of the sprocket. Put tool (C) in position under the track. Remove tooling (F) and pin (1). 7. Install seal washers (2) and spacers (3) in counterbore as shown. Use tooling (D) to hold the washers and spacers in place. 8. Move the track backward until the spacers and washers are held in place by the track links. Remove tooling (D). 9. Move the track backward until the bore in the links are in alignment. Install pin (4) from tooling (E). 10. Move the track forward until the pin is in position between the carrier roller and idler. Put tooling (E) in position and install the master pin. Remove tooling (E).11. Lift side of machine and remove tooling (G) from under carbody.12. Tighten the relief valve in the track adjuster to 34 7 N m (25 5 lb ft).13. Make an adjustment to the track. See TRACK ADJUSTMENT in Operation and Maintenance Manual.
