For peripherals check select "Dashboard" tab.
View the "Peripherals" and "Logging" sections. Green indicators represent no fault has been reported. Red Indicators represent a fault has been reported.Note: If a vibration motor is not installed, the vibration motor indicator will be shown as Green.

Confirm the IR Illuminators are working and aligned correctly. A dull red glow will be visible as shown in Illustration 76.

Now to check network connection select "Data Uploader" tab. Confirm that the Network Connected indicator in the "Status" section is green. When the DSS Highway has communications with the server, the Network Connected indicator will be green. The Network Connected indicator will be red when the DSS Highway is not connected to the server.
Confirm that Network Found written in green, is shown in the "Uploads" section. When the DSS Highway has communications with the server, Network Found will be displayed in green. Successful in green will be shown after each successful event upload to the database. Network Lost will be shown in red when the DSS Highway is not able to contact with the server.

For field of view confirmation, select the "Diagnostics" tab.

Inspect the horizontal location of the head. The head should be horizontally center of the screen whilst sitting in the operators seat. The camera can be secured by tightening the screws attaching the bracket to the dashboard.
Inspect the vertical location of the head when:
The seat is at its lowest point.
The seat is at its highest point.
The facial features (eyes and mouth) must be within the field of view of the camera in all seat heights.

The camera can be secured by aligning the bracket holes with the camera screw holes.

For Pitch and Yaw confirmation, select "Diagnostics" tab.Note: The Pitch and Yaw graphs can be viewed in the "Head Tracking Tab" as shown in Illustration 81.
Inspect the Pitch graph in the "Rotation" section. This graph shows the Pitch of the head. Whilst sitting in a normal driving position, looking forward, the green line on the graph should be close to the center line (0). If the green line is not close to the center line, the Pitch will require adjusting in the configuration file.
Inspect the Yaw graph in the "Rotation" section. This graph shows the Yaw of the head. Whilst sitting in a normal driving position, looking forward, the green line on the graph should be close to the center line (0). If the green line is not close to the center line, the Yaw will require adjusting in the configuration file.
Now check for demonstration events. Demonstration (demo) events are created to ensure that required checks can be conducted. The demo event will provide:
Confirmation events are being uploaded to the database.
Confirmation of the driver facing camera alignment.
Confirmation of the driver facing camera vision quality.
System component status.Data is being assigned to the correct vehicle.
