3. Identify and remove all hoses (1) from the valve.4. Remove all bolts (2) and remove bucket and boom pilot control valve. The following steps are for the installation of the pilot control valves.5. Position the bucket and boom pilot control valve and install bolts (2).6. Connect all hoses (1) to their proper location.7. Install all sheet metal covers.8. Start By:a. remove pilot control valve 1. Put mark (1) on body and base. 2. Remove hex-head bolt (2) from body. 3. Carefully pull base (3) away from body (4). Seals on the valves may make it hard to pull the base off. 4. Remove four outer springs (5). 5. Remove actuator plate (6) and swivel. 6. Remove retainer (7) and plunger (8). There are four retainers and plungers. They pull out very easy. The plunger for No. 2 valve is different than the rest. Mark it to be sure it is installed correctly during assembly. 7. Remove plunger (8) from retainer (7). 8. Remove valve stem (9) from body. All four stems are the same. However, mark each one carefully with the number of the bore shown on the bottom of base (3). The following steps are for the assembly of the pilot control valve.9. Put valve stems (9) back in correct bores in body (4).10. Be sure the correct plunger (8) is installed in valve No. 2. The cavity in the plunger for No. 2 is deeper than the other valves. Install all retainers (7).11. Install actuator plate and swivel (6). Do not tighten the swivel too much. A small amount of clearance between actuator plate (6) and plunger (8) is needed.12. Actuate each valve with the actuator plate.
