Release oil pressure for brake by using the emergency brake ten times with engine off. Put blocks at wheels to prevent movement of machine.
1. Release the parking brake by removing bolts (1) and the spacers behind the bolts. Install the bolts again. Tighten them until a solid resistance is felt.2. Disconnect oil line (2) from the cylinder. 3. Remove the pin (4) from lever (3) by removing the cotter pin. 4. Put a hydraulic jack under the bracket. Remove the four bolts that hold bracket to the support. Remove the parking brake cylinder and bracket as a unit. Weight is 80 lb. (36 kg). 5. Remove the two bolts (1) that were used to release the parking brake.6. Remove two bolts (7) that hold the retainer assembly (8). Remove the retainer assembly.7. Remove the cylinder (6) from the bracket (5).Install Parking Brake Cylinder (Power Shift)
1. Install the retainer assembly (4) and cylinder assembly (1) on the bracket (2) with bolts (5).2. Install the two bolts (3) in the retainer assembly (4). Tighten the bolts until a solid resistance is felt. 3. Put the parking brake cylinder and bracket on a hydraulic jack. Put the cylinder and bracket in position on support. Install the four bolts that hold bracket to support.4. Connect the oil line to the cylinder. 5. Push on the lever (6) until the lever stops. Make an adjustment on the rod to be .25 in. (6.4 mm) away from alignment of lever. Release the lever by hand and install the pin and cotter pin that holds lever to rod. 6. Remove bolts (3) from cylinder. Install the spacers (7) and bolts (3) again. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 75 lb.ft. (10.4 mkg).
