Machine location of battery disconnect switch.
The battery disconnect switch is located in a compartment on the left side of the machine.The entire electrical system is disabled when you turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Battery Disconnect Delay film
The "Battery Disconnect Delay" film is located next to the Wait to Disconnect lamp. This film instructs the operator to turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position when the Wait to Disconnect lamp is no longer illuminated.Battery Disconnect Switch ON
Disconnect Switch ON - Use the following procedure to activate the electrical system. The battery disconnect switch must be turned to the ON position before you start the engine.
Unlock and remove padlock (3) from battery disconnect switch assembly.
Swing latch (1) from the LOCKED position.
Insert key (2) into the battery disconnect switch and turn the key clockwise to the ON position.To ensure that no damage to the engine occurs, verify that the engine is fully operational before cranking the engine. Do not crank an engine that is not fully operational.With the battery disconnect switch in the ON position, verify that electrical components in the operator compartment are functioning. Verify that the hour meter is displaying information. Verify that the engine will crank.Battery Disconnect Switch OFF
The battery disconnect switch and the engine start switch perform different functions. Turn off the battery disconnect switch in order to disable the entire electrical system. The battery remains connected to the electrical system when you turn off the engine start switch.
Disconnect Switch OFF - Use the following procedure to deactivate the electrical system.
Do not turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position until the Wait to Disconnect lamp is no longer illuminated. If the switch is turned to the OFF position when the lamp is illuminated, then the DEF system will not purge. DEF could freeze and cause damage to the pump and lines if not purged from the system.
Never move the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position while the engine is operating. Serious damage to the electrical system could result.
Do not initiate this procedure until Wait to Disconnect lamp (4) is no longer illuminated . The Pump Electronics Tank Unit (PETU) (if equipped) requires some time to purge diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) from system components.
Turn key (2) of the battery disconnect switch counterclockwise to the OFF position, and remove the key.
Swing latch (1) to the LOCKED position. This position covers the opening where the key was removed from the battery disconnect switch.
Secure the latch in the LOCKED position by placing padlock (3) through the hole of the battery disconnect switch lockout.With the battery disconnect switch in the OFF position, verify that the following
