1. Disconnect eight oil lines (1) from the control valve.2. Disconnect two wires (2) from switch on control valve. 3. Remove two bolts (3) holding dimmer switch and flip pedals up.4. Remove bolts (5). Remove linkage and remove speed and direction pilot valve. Weight of the unit is 32kg (70 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the speed and directional pilot control valve.5. Put the speed and direction pilot control valve in position and install bolts (5).6. Install the linkage and position the pedals.7. Position the dimmer switch and install bolts (3).8. Connect two wires (2) on switch.9. Connect eight oil lines (1) to the speed and direction pilot control valve.Disassemble & Assemble Speed & Direction Pilot Control Valve
Start By:a. remove speed and direction pilot control valve 1. Remove two foot pedals (1) and directional stems.2. Remove plate (2) and lever (3).3. Remove the bolts holding forward valve group (4) and reverse valve group (5) to steering valve group (6). 4. Remove the covers from the bottom of valve groups (4) and (5).5. Remove slug (7), spring (8), and valve stem (9) from valve bodies.6. Remove bolt (10), retainer (11), shims (12), and spring (13) from valve stem. Keep shims for use during assembly of valve group. Remove the seal from valve bodies. 7. Remove cover (14) from body. Remove key (15) and washer (16) from shaft (17).8. Loosen bolt (18), and remove bearing (19), shaft (17), lever (21), and washer (22).9. Remove the seal (23) and bearing (24). 10. Remove cover (25), springs (26) and (27), retainers (28) and (29), and valve stems (30). Put location marks on valve stems as to their location in valve body. The following steps are for the assembly of the speed and directional pilot control valve. 11. Put valve stems (30) in their respective positions in valve body with the grooves (slots) in stems toward the openings for the oil lines in the valve body.12. Install retainers (29) and (28), springs (27) and (26), and cover (25).13. Install bearings (24) and (19). Install seal (23) in valve body with lip of the seal toward bearing (24).14. Install shaft (17), lever (21), washer (22), and key (31). Put lever in position on shaft and tighten bolt (18). Install cover (14). The grooves (slots) in valve stems (30) must be visible (can be seen) through the openings for the oil lines in the valve body after installation of lever (18).15. Install washer (16) and key (15) on the shaft.16. Install seals (32) with the lips of the seals toward the inside of the valve bodies.17. Install springs (13), shims (12), retainers (11), and bolts (10) on both forward and reverse stems (9).18. Install valve stems (9), springs (8), and slugs (7) in valve the bodies (4) and (5). Install covers (33).19. Put valve bodies (4) and (5) in position on valve body (6), and install the bolts. Make sure O-ring seals are in place between valve bodies.20. Install control lever
