Install one grommet (43), two shields (42), and two clamps (41) to the hose assembly (45) at the rod end of the tilt cylinder (40). Install one grommet (43), two shields (42), and two clamps (41) to the hose assembly (44) at the head end of the tilt cylinder (40). Repeat Step 21 for the opposite side of the machine. Note: During installation, keep the end of shield (42) flush with end (J) of the stem of the hose assembly. Install shields (42) so that one hole (K) faces UPWARD.
Start the engine. Extend the tilt cylinders in order to align the tilt cylinder rods with the beam assembly (59). Turn off the engine.

Install the right tilt cylinder (40) to the beam assembly (62) with pin assembly (7), spacer (9), plate (10), and two bolts (20). Tighten bolts (20) to a torque of 460 60 N m (340 45 lb ft). Note: Make sure that the two seals (2) are still intact in the rod end of each tilt cylinder.
Repeat Step 23 for each required tooth. Installation Procedure - Ripper Tooth

Install tooth (61) to the beam assembly (62) with pin (64), and two pin assemblies (63).
Repeat Step 1 for each tooth, as required.
Lubricate twelve fittings on the ripper with multipurpose type grease (MPGM). Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for maintenance intervals.
Cycle the lift cylinders and the tilt cylinders through a full stroke in both directions several times. Check all of the connections for leaks. If necessary, make repairs.
Check hydraulic oil tank level. Add oil in order to maintain the level at the FULL mark on the sight gauge, if necessary. Installation of Ripper Light

Connect harness assembly (1) to lamp group (2).
Install bracket (3) to the back of the manifold for the ripper with bolt (4) and washer (10). Tighten bolt (4) to a torque of 47 9 N m (35 7 lb ft).
Assemble lamp (2) to bracket (3) with bolt (5), washer (6), and nut (7). Tighten bolt (5) to a torque of 12 4 N m (8.85 2.95 lb ft).
Connect harness (1) into the existing plug. The existing harness plug is located near the left oil filter base. The left oil filter base is on the top of the steering clutch case.
Secure harness (1) in place with clips (8) and straps (9) at two locations on manifold (M) and at one location on the left side of the transmission cover (X). See Illustration 26.
