(1) Pump for the hook (2) Pump for the boomThe pump for the hook (1) is mounted on the rear of pump for the boom (2) .The pump for the boom (2) is mounted on the upper left of the engine flywheel housing. The implement pump is an axial piston pump with overcenter capability. The output direction and flow of the implement pump is controlled by the pump control valve.

(3) Hydraulic tank and filterThe hydraulic tank and the filter are located just in front of the operator station.

(4) Hook winch (5) Boom winchBoom winch (5) is mounted directly above hook winch (4). Boom winch (5) and hook winch (4) are centrally located on the right side of the tractor.

(6) Boom winch flushing valve (7) Hook winch flushing valveFlushing valves are located on the end of the winch motors. The flushing valves help remove contaminants and hot oil, through the low pressure side of the winch circuit.

(8) Accumulator for the quick-drop (9) Quick-drop valveThe accumulator for the quick-drop (8) and quick-drop valve (9) are located on the housing for the winches. The accumulator and the quick-drop valve are used to assist the quick-drop function.

(10) Accumulator for the charge pressureThe accumulator for the charge pressure (10) is mounted to the bottom of the frame behind an access panel that is located on the right hand side of the tractor. This accumulator stores pressure oil in order to ensure quick response to changes in the implement pilot system.

587T Control levers for the pilot control valves (11) Pilot control valve (two-way) (12) Pilot control valve (three-way)The hand control levers for the pilot control valves are located on the right hand console.Pilot control valve (two-way) (11) controls the raising and lowering of the boom. When the control lever is moved forward the boom will lower. When the control lever is moved backward the boom will raise. Pilot control valve (three-way) (12) controls all of the Hook functions. When the control lever is moved forward the hook will lower. When the control lever is moved backward the hook will raise. Moving the control lever to the Forward/left position will activate the Quick drop function.

(13) Combination valveCombination Valve (13) is located on the pipelayer cross frame just to the rear of the hydraulic tank.Combination valve (13) is a large aluminum block that controls the pilot system hydraulic oil for the implements. Combination valve (13) may contain five solenoid valves and five pilot valves.
