3. Loosen the hose clamps and remove top radiator hose (1).4. Remove twelve bolts (2), and remove the two fan guards. 5. Loosen the tension on V-Belts (3) and remove the two V-Belts. 6. Fasten strap and hoist to fan hub (4). Remove one bolt and wire harness clip, (not shown), on the right side of fan drive (5). Remove four bolts (6). 7. Remove six bolts (7) to separate fan hub (4) from pulley (8). Remove fan drive (5), pulley (8), and the spacer.8. Remove fan hub (4) and the fan. The weight of the fan hub and fan is 27 Kg (60 lb). Remove the pulley and O-ring seal from fan hub (4).
Care must be taken when unbolting fan and also when positioning fan against radiator, that no damage occurs to the radiator cores.
9. To install the fan and fan drive, position pulley (8), fan drive (5), and the spacer. Fasten a nylon strap and hoist to fan hub (4). Position the fan hub and fan, and install bolts (7).10. Install four bolts (6), and install one bolt and wire harness clip on the right side of fan drive (5). Remove the hoist and strap from the fan hub.11. Install two V-Belts (3), and tighten the two V-Belts. See the topic, V-Belt Tension Chart in the Specifications module.12. Position the two fan guards, and install bolts (2) that hold them to the radiator. Install top radiator hose (1) and the two hose clamps.13. Fill the radiator with coolant to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.14. Install the hood. Tilt the radiator guard back.
