Assembly Procedure
Note: This component is being disassembled and displayed for CLEANING PURPOSES ONLY. Many internal parts are not available for this component. Care must be taken during disassembly and assembly in order to prevent damage to unavailable parts.

Install dust covers (16) on each of master cylinders (2).

Install master cylinder assemblies (2) on the plate assembly. Secure master cylinder assembly (2) with the nuts (15) and the washers .

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Loosen nuts (8) on pushrods (7) and move nuts (8) to a medium length.
Install pushrods (7) onto pushrod ends (9).
Install pushrod ends (9) onto pedals (14). Use pins (10) and clips (11) to secure pushrod ends (9) to pedals (14).
Install pedals (14) in position on the plate assembly. Install spacers (13). Install springs (12) on spacers (13). Engage both springs (12) on pedals (14).

Install pin (4) through the plate assembly. Align the pedals and the spacers . Install pin (4) through pedals (14) and the spacers .
Install pin (4) into the opposite side of the plate assembly.
Secure pin (4) with bolt (5) and the washer.
Install plate (6). Secure plate (6) with bolts (3).

Install tube (1) on master cylinder assemblies (2).
The following steps are required for the adjustment of the service brake prior to installation.
Move dust covers (16) onto pushrods (7). Expose the surface of the master cylinder pistons.

Loosen nuts (8) in order to adjust pushrods (7). Pushrods (7) must contact the master cylinder pistons .
Stroke pedals (14) six times in order to obtain the normal position of the master cylinder pistons.
Loosen two nuts (8) in order to adjust the ends of pushrods (7). Pushrods (7) must contact the master cylinder pistons .
Move pushrods (7) counterclockwise by one half turn. Tighten nuts (8) to a torque of 20 5 N m (15 3 lb ft).
The movement of pedal (14) should be 7.000 mm (0.2756 inch).
Move two dust covers (16) into position on master cylinder assemblies (2). End By:
Install the service brake control. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Service Brake Control - Remove and Install".
