DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DISCONNECT LINES OR REMOVE PLUGS IN THE CUSHION HITCH CIRCUIT UNTIL THE ENGINE HAS BEEN SHUT OFF FOR AT LEAST FIVE MINUTES. The five minute wait permits oil pressure in the accumulators to be relieved. The hissing sound can be heard at the selector lever while the system is being bled. If the engine is shut off when the machine is in cushion ride, the hitch will lower as the circuit is bled. DO NOT PLACE HANDS OR FEET AROUND HITCH COMPONENTS UNTIL THE HITCH IS COMPLETELY LOWERED. Failure to heed this warning can result in the sudden release of high pressure oil.
1. Place jack stands under draft tube and raise scraper until cushion hitch load cylinder is fully extended. 2. Support front of tractor to relieve load from hitch pins.3. Disconnect charging and leveling valve and lay it aside.4. Remove cover and leveling valve link from lower link. 5. Remove pin cover and install tool (A) on upper link.6. Pull upper pin out about 12 in. (35 cm) or enough to free the rod end of the cylinder.
Do not remove the pin entirely or the tractor may separate from the scraper.
7. Support the load cylinder with a hoist. Install tool (A) on the lower pin, and pull the pin out enough to free the cylinder. 8. Collapse the cylinder and remove it through the left side of the hitch parallelogram-weight 250 lbs. (113 kg).Install Load Cylinder
1. Attach a hoist and position cylinder on machine. 2. Align rod end of cylinder with upper link pin bore. 3. Pull upper link pin through cylinder using tool setup (A).4. Align head end of cylinder with lower link pin bore.5. Pull lower link into position using tool setup (A).6. Install pin covers and leveling valve link.7. Connect leveling valve to cylinder.
