1. Disconnect wiring harness (3).
Always wear goggles when working on air conditioning systems. The system is under pressure at all times, engine running or not. Escaping Freon-12 (CCI2F2 Dichlorodifluoromethane) can cause freezing of human flesh.Do not smoke while working on air conditioning systems. INHALING FREON-12 THROUGH ANY SMOKING MATERIAL, ALTHOUGH NOT TOXIC OR FLAMMABLE, CAN GENERATE LETHAL PHOSGENE GAS AND CAUSE VIOLENT ILLNESS OR DEATH. ALSO, HEAT MUST NEVER BE APPLIED TO A CHARGED SYSTEM. 2. Purge the air conditioning system. See the topic, Purging The System in Air Conditioning And Heating Service Manual, Form No. SENR3334.3. Remove three clamps (1). Disconnect two refrigerant lines (2).4. Install tooling (A) and fasten a hoist to the condenser unit. Remove the ten nuts located under plate (4) and remove the condenser unit. Weight of the air conditioner condenser is 37 kg (82 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the air conditioner condenser.5. Install tooling (A) and a hoist and put the air conditioner condenser in position. Install the ten nuts located under plate (4).6. Connect two refrigerant lines (2) and install three clamps (1).7.
