1. Drill out all drain orifices in 3T9583 Rotary Spool Assembly (A). Located in area (B) of illustration 1. Do not drill out any other orifices other than the drain orifices.2. A carbide drill must be used. Depending on availability, use a 3.18 mm (.125 in), 3.50 mm (.138 in), or 3.96 mm (.156 in) drill.3. Clean thoroughly. Remove all chips and burrs from rotary selector spool. Drill must not touch O.D. of the spool.Rework Procedure for 7G1366 Selector and Pressure Control Valve Group

If this update is performed with the transmission installed in the truck, the drive shaft must be disconnected or the axle shaft removed for the checking and adjustment of the initial pressures.
All initial pressure tolerances are: + 50 - 35 kPa (+ 7 - 5 psi). All final pressure tolerances are: + 240 - 100 kPa (+ 35 - 15 psi). Additional shims may be needed for adjusting initial pressures. Station "A" for No. 3 Clutch
