Apply clean oil to O-ring seal (20) that is positioned behind seal retainer (10) .
Install seal (21) and O-ring seal (20) into seal retainer (10) . Position seal retainer (10) onto the pivot shaft.

Apply clean oil to sleeve bearing (22) that is positioned in track roller frame (16) .

Apply clean oil to bearing sleeve (23) and to O-ring seal (19) . Position O-ring seal (19) to retainer assembly (18) .
Use a suitable lifting device in order to position retainer assembly (18) onto track roller frame (16) . The weight of retainer assembly (18) is approximately 31 kg (68 lb).
Install bolts (17) .

Use Tooling (A) in order to position track roller frame (16) onto the machine. The weight of track roller frame (16) is approximately 4420 kg (9744 lb).

Position thrust ring (15) . Position plate (14) and install bolts (13) . Tighten bolts (13) to a torque of 270 40 N m (200 30 lb ft).

Position cover (12) . Install bolts (11) .

Position seal retainer (10) and install bolts (9) .

Apply Tooling (E) to the pin bore and install pin (8) , hard washers (7) , and bolt (6) . Install nut (4) onto bolts (5) .

Tighten bolt (5A) to a torque of 1600 200 N m (1180 148 lb ft).
Tighten bolt (5B) to a torque of 1600 200 N m (1180 148 lb ft).
Torque bolt (5A) again to a torque of 1600 200 N m (1180 148 lb ft).
Torque bolt (5B) again to a torque of 1600 200 N m (1180 148 lb ft).
Repeat Step 12 thru Step 15 for opposite side of the machine.

Lower Tooling (B) at the front of the machine and lower Tooling (B) at the rear of the machine.
If the oil was removed from the recoil spring and the bearing compartment, fill the compartment with oil to the correct level.End By:
Connect the track.
Install the pipelayer frame or the counterweight frame.
