Information:
start by:a) remove front wheels and bearings 1. Install tool (A) in tie bar (1) for the wheel lean.
Do not remove steering knuckles unless tool (A) is installed in the tie bar and axle.
2. Remove cotter pin and pin (4) from tie rod. Remove tie rod.3. Remove cotter pin and nut (2) from bolt (3). Fasten a hoist to steering knuckle (5).4. Remove bolt (3), lock and nut from steering knuckle. Remove pin from bottom of the steering knuckle. 5. Remove the steering knuckle. Weight of the knuckle is 76 lb. (34 kg). 6. Remove cotter pin (6), nut (10) and washer (7) from both ends of the arm (9). Remove seals (11) and block (8) from the arm. Remove the arm. Bearings in arm (12) for the wheel lean can be removed if retaining rings and plates from top and bottom of arm and knuckle pin are removed. Then push bearings out on a press. Install Steering Knuckles
1. Install bearings and knuckle pin (1) in arm (2) for wheel lean and steering knuckle. Be sure notch in pin is in alignment with hole in knuckle for arm (3). Be sure holes in bearings are in alignment with grease fittings (4) in arm. 2. Put the steering knuckle into position on the machine. Put grease on pin (7). Install pin so keyway for lock is in position. Install bolt, lock and nut.3. Install the bolt (6) that holds the bar for wheel lean to the steering knuckle. Install nut (5) and cotter pin. Install arm (3). 4. Install seal, block (11) and seal to arm. Install washer, nut (10) and cotter pin to both ends of arm. Connect tie rod (9) to the arm. Install pin (8) and cotter pin to the tie rod. 5. Remove tool (A) from the tie bar for the wheel lean.
Do not operate machine with tool (A) installed in the tie bar and front axle.
