View of the location of the filler valve on the right side of the scraperThe filler valves (2) are for the adjustment of the tension for the chain. The assembly (1) will raise when grease is pumped into the filler valves (2). The tension of the chain for the elevator will increase when the assembly (1) is raised. The guards will prevent the inadvertent lubrication of the filler valves (2).

Use the following information to install the 8I-2191 Guards (5) to the earlier models.
Remove the two existing bolts (3) and washers (4) .
Insert the 8I-2191 Guard (5) .Note: Ensure that the guard is oriented in order to cover the filler valve.
Install the bolts and washers.
Repeat Step 1 through Step 3 for the other side of the machine.Refer to the appropriate Operation and Maintenance manual for the adjustment procedure for the elevator chain.
