Personal injury or death can result from improper lifting or blocking. When a hoist or jack is used to lift any part or component, stand clear of the area. Be sure the hoist or jack has the correct capacity to lift a component. Install blocks or stands before performance of any work under a heavy component.Approximate weights of the components are shown. Clean all surfaces where parts are to be installed.
To avoid injury do not stand on or between implement and machine while operating lift control.

Material     Steel
Working Load Limit (WLL)
2043 kg (4500 lb)
Weight

Note: Refer to the appropriate Disassembly and Assembly Service Manual for mounting and lifting hardware and correct location of the lifting point.Operation Section
Operation
Fitting the 183-4807 Differential Lifting Bracket to the differential carrier should look like the following illustration.
Illustration 5 g03403557
Note: The WLL of the hoist or lifting device used for this step should be more than the weight of the machine component being lifted and all the tooling used to lift it.
Follow the information in the specific Disassembly and Assembly Service Manual for the machine component to be lifted.
Attach the lifting bracket to the differential carrier using a quantity of (4) 1/2 - 13 x 2.00 (1A1460) bolts.
Be sure to tighten all four bolts down to the standard torque.Note: Do not use spacers of any kind.Inspection and Maintenance Section
Inspection
Inspect tooling prior to each use for damage, bending, nicks, burrs, dents, cracks, bent or worn parts. If damage is found, destroy the tool and dispose of as scrap. Replace damaged tool with new product.
Do not use unless the Working Load Limit (WLL) identification markings are legible.
Do not use if any holes are elongated or deformed.
Have the tool inspected annually by an approved dealership inspector.Cleaning
Clean the tooling using a non-solvent based cleaner.Storage
Store the tooling in a clean, dry location to prevent rust or corrosion. Tooling can be damaged by moisture or high humidity.
The tool should be stored in the most stable position. Store the tool laying flat or hanging from appropriate hooks to prevent falling.Tool Disposal
At the end of the operational life of the tool, destroy the tool and dispose of as scrap.
