Install plate assembly (2) into the right-hand rear engine support. Secure plate assembly (2) with two bolts (3), two bolts (4), and four washers (5) .Install the Engine and Torque Converter

Attach a suitable lifting device to the engine and torque converter assembly. The engine and torque converter assembly weighs approximately 18145 kg (40000 lb).

Use a suitable lifting device in order to position the engine and torque converter assembly into the chassis.

Note: Tighten bolts to a torque of 1600 200 N m (1180 146 lb ft).

Note: Tighten bolts to a torque of 800 100 N m (590 74 lb ft).
Use the existing hardware in order to secure the engine to the chassis. The existing hardware was removed in the Field Assembly, "Torque Converter - Remove and Install".

Position Tooling (AA) under the front frame support. Use Tooling (AA) in order to lift the front frame support. The front frame support should be lifted to 30 cm (12 inch).

(A) 322-8220 Tube
Attach a suitable lifting device to tube (A). Tube (A) weighs approximately 177 kg (390 lb).

Use a suitable lifting device in order to install tube (A). As required, install plate (B) in order to minimize the gap. Secure tube (A) in position with eight bolts (C) and eight hard washers (D) .Note: Use bolts (C) in order to hold tube (A) into place, do not tighten bolts (C) at this time.

Tighten eight bolts (C) to a torque of 800 100 N m (590 75 lb ft).Note: Tighten bolts in a crisscross pattern. Apply 4C-5592 Anti-Seize Compound to the threads and under the head of the bolt.Note: If the procedure in Special Instruction, REHS5071, "Field Procedure in Order to Replace the Tube Assembly on the Frame of the 797 and the 797B Off-Highway Truck" has been performed, tighten bolts (C) to 1600 200 N m (1180 150 lb ft).
