Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Attach Tooling (A) and suitable lifting devices to cab (16) . The weight of cab (16) is approximately 1270 kg (2800 lb). Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting devices in order to position cab (16) onto the machine.

Connect harness assembly (18) .

Install bolts (17) . Use Tooling (B) in order to install bolts (17) that are surrounded by the fuel tanks.Note: If you use Tooling (B) , tighten bolts (17) to a torque of 548 68 N m (405 50 lb ft).

Position step assembly (15) and install bolts (14) . Repeat this step for the opposite side of the machine.
