Remove five bolts (1) and remove bolt (4).
Remove bolts (3) and remove bracket (2).
Illustration 2 g02353051
Remove nuts (6) and remove spacers (5). Discard all nuts (6). Remove exhaust manifold assembly (7).
Illustration 3 g02353052
Separate exhaust manifold sections (8), (9), and (10).Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replacethe components, if necessary.
Install the exhaust manifold in the reverse order.
Apply a thin coat of Tooling (B) to the outside of the male ends that are on manifold sections (8) and (10). Assemble manifold sections (8), (9), and (10).

Torque Sequence
Apply Tooling (A) on the threads of new nuts (6). Install Tooling (C) at Location (X). Position spacers (5) and install nuts (6). Hand tighten nuts (6). Remove Tooling (C). Install remaining spacers (5) and nuts (6). Tighten nuts (6) in the above sequence to a torque of 20 3 N m (15 2. lb ft). Tighten nuts (6) again in the same sequence to torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).
