Remove the check valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Check Valve (Carry and Quick-Drop) - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Disconnect hose assembly (1) from bowl lift cylinder (2) .

Install Tooling (A) to the cylinder port in order to prevent the bowl lift cylinder from drifting during removal.

Install Tooling (B) to tube assembly (3) in order to prevent the bowl lift cylinder from drifting during removal.

Install Tooling (C) to bowl lift cylinder (2). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (C) and a hoist.

Remove two block assemblies (5) and remove bowl lift cylinder (2). The bowl lift cylinder weighs approximately 227 kg (500 lb).
